DICE looking at ‘The Road Ahead for Battlefield 1’

  • This website is currently getting updated on many fronts, some stuff may be broken.

While still being pleased with the launch of the “They Shall Not Pass” DLC, EA and DICE are already looking ahead for Battlefield 1. The release of this first major DLC is only one of in total four new DLC’s that are coming up! Aside from more DLC DICE and EA have something more to share with us. Oh did I mention yet that the next DLC “In The Name of the Tsar” will go to the eastern front? Pack your gear! It’s going to snow and freeze heavy!

Upcoming changes

Since the release of Battlefield 1, the game has been receiving seasonal patches. But, due to the high demands of the community and the vast amount of changes, this is now getting changed. Battlefield 1 will from now on receive monthly patches instead. This means that players can expect new features, bug fixes and tweaks faster than before! Your feedback from CTE will now be implemented a lot faster resulting in hopefully a better player experience.

This is not the only change that is happening in Battlefield 1 right now. DICE has been using our feedback to improve the game for a long time now and we’ve been heard. The current state of the game mode Operations isn’t that great. For many, it appears to be fairly hard to find matches at all. The ‘May Update’ will be dedicated to improve the flow into matches and general gameplay improvements. With that said, there will also be more updates for RSP in the near future. (hooray for us!)

Platoons? Platoons!

Platoons have been in high demand ever since the release and DICE knows this. In CTE the Platoons are currently being tested but they seem to be ready to go soon! Platoons will be coming to Battlefield 1 soon in the “Spring Update” the last seasonal patch. While many features are still to come for platoons we can give you this, they’re more awesome than ever! It now pays off to be in a platoon! More info on that later.
